The Noble Star Rally Team will be kicking off their 2018 season at the Sandblast Rally on 3rd March 2018 hosted by NASA Rally Sport in Cheraw, SC. The team will be comprised of two of their four car fleet, headed by team owner Amanda “RalyGrl” Skelly (#65), and teammate Matthew Peterson (#14). Skelly will be competing in her new Subaru Impreza, while Peterson returns in a fan favorite Honda Civic, known as “Abe”.
Many events are scheduled to follow for the team, as well as the launch of two more rally cars within the fleet later this season. Fans will have the chance to follow along on the teams social media sites and website as the team continues growing. NSR is also excited to announce their partnership with the non-for-profit organization Rally for the Troops. Rally for the Troops provides resources and assistance to Soldiers and Disabled Veterans competing in amateur Stage Rally Racing.
Later this season, you can expect to see the return of NSR driver Ian Kessler in his new rally car. The long anticipated build will be underway this spring and is estimated to be completed in time for Black River Stages. As a native of New York, BRS marks Kessler’s home event, which is where he originally debuted in stage rally back in 2013.
Additionally, NSR crew member Justin Robinson, who has been with the team since January 2014, will return to the driver’s seat in his latest build. Robinson has been working diligently on his 2004 Subaru TS wagon, which he is hoping to bring to the stages later this summer or fall.
By the end of the season, the team should be hosting a 4 car fleet. The team is hoping to all attend at least one event together in full. NSR is known for sharing team members and taking on more roles than most, including both driving and co-driving and taking on crew member or management roles.
